Brief Update
The ADDE Act (SB 68) would require California restaurants to list major food allergens on their menus, aiming to reduce allergic reactions—reported by 1 in 3 people with food allergies when dining out. Named after 9-year-old Addie Lao, the bill promotes transparency and safety. If passed, it takes effect in July 2026. Bakersfield’s Mango Haus already follows similar practices, supporting healthier, allergy-aware dining for the community.
