Brief Update
🌎In Honor of Earth Day🌎
While Earth Day was celebrated yesterday, Bakersfield residents can continue to show support the Earth’s quality every day. Although Bakersfield ranks worst in the U.S. for annual particle pollution due to geography trapping pollutants, we can help reduce air pollution. The Valley Air District suggests avoiding car idling, switching to electric lawn equipment, using public transport, and upgrading older vehicles or fireplaces.
Grants are available to help residents make eco-friendly changes and improve Kern County’s air quality.
